Single NI men spending £1,800 a year on dating apps

… Hundreds Of Pounds Less Than Our Gold Membership

SINGLES have been relegated to digital dating over the last few months amid coronavirus.

Meeting for drinks and dinner has been out – which has saved lonely hearts a fortune. But as restrictions star to ease, droves of singletons are heading back into ‘real life’, which means opening wallets again.

We have found looking for love on apps is costing some single men in Northern Ireland around £1,800 every year. A survey we carried out of our single male clients has revealed much of that amount gets spent before the date with a massive average of £150 per month spent by men on dating apps.

Meeting a potential partner costs a lot more – with food, entertainment, a new outfit and grooming costing in the hundreds. We know women generally spend slightly more on preparation for dates, from make-up to clothes and visits to beauticians. But men are catching up, with many splashing out on new threads, shoes, haircuts and beard grooming. We also discovered nights out – usually involving taxis, food, drink and maybe theatre or cinema tickets – can cost around £150, with men spending most on meets.

Our Gold Membership at £895 per year can save people money and increase the chances of success as it pairs them with a matchmaker producing tailor-made matches. While £895 may sound a lot, when compared with the average spend on dates and swipe-based apps, it is a wise investment. Especially when you consider we now have a holistic approach to helping clients and have partnered with a leading tailor, male grooming expert, image consultant and life coaches to help members.

Our new male relationship advisor Paul Clarke is also part of the package – applying his business acumen to helping men become Mr Right.  Soirée Society founder Claire Hughes said: “When you consider some people are spending around £1,800 per year on dating apps, along with money on the preparation to the nights out themselves, our membership compares very favourably.

“Often with apps people waste a lot of time on people who turn out to be completely different than the profile suggests.

“We can also help take the work out of preparation with our team of experts on hand to prepare members for dates, and our selection of partners considers their desired criteria.

Potential matches are chosen with the old phrase in mind: ‘Quality over quantity’.

“We are even in the process of teaming up with Northern Ireland’s best bars and restaurants so our members get discounted rates when dating.”

If the £895 Gold Membership is too pricey we also offer the £595 Bronze package, which guarantees members two meets, while our Bespoke Membership at £295 puts you on our books for potential matches after a face-to-face consultatio
